Fabulous Florence
Seeking out new-to-us cities usually tops our list when we plan a trip. Yet, for some reason, Florence keeps pulling us back.
Our first visit was in 2016 trip as part of our first European adventures to see our niece who was studying abroad in Rome, next was in 2024 to meet up with our nephew, and most recently after spending time with our friend Renee in Bologna.
We have a few must-dos in this extraordinary place:
Walking the streets around the Duomo
Shoe browsing at Otisopse
Lunch at Trattoria Bondi
Daily gelato, this time at Venchi
Other adventures always figure into the mix...the Rothko exhibition at Strozzi Palace; wandering Boboli Gardens with the goal of re-creating a photo we took back in 2016; meeting a lovely mother-daughter duo in the process of taking a ridiculous number photos trying to achieve said re-creation; finding street art in unexpected places; and falling in love all over again.
The city has a special magic that inspires us to dream beyond "the lines" and imagine what's possible. Grazie mille, Firenze. Ti adoriamo. 🇮🇹 📸🍝🍨🖼️ 👞
