Second half of summer

The month-long Gran Fira de València takes over the city in July which means music and fun are around every corner. We kicked things off singing and dancing to Cristina Ramos, a spot-on Whitney Houston tribute singer, and the Gipsy Kings.

Shannon's birthday celebration cranked up a few notches when her birthday twin, TC, and her sweet wife, Amanda, gathered for a yummy dinner hosted by our amazing friends, John + Dom. Scrumptious homemade red velvet cake by the spectacular @aunt_mandy_bakes was a huge hit! ¡Muchas gracias, amigos!

We continued the search for mini art prints around Valencia and hit the jackpot at Casa Fran and Pelican Bikes. Also continuing are Spanish lessons with our tutor, Blanca, and weekly WhatsApp video conversations with our intercambio friend, Maria Jesús. We're very grateful for their help.

Celebrating Spain's men's World Cup win was incredible! Talk about a once in a lifetime occasion! (Well, maybe twice in a lifetime if the Spanish Women's team retains their title next year.) And we always tune in for the Tour de France, mostly for the scenery!
