Exploring the City of Arts & Sciences

Since walking is part of our daily life here in Valencia, it's surprisingly easy to reach (& frequently exceed) our 15,000 steps per day goal, especially when immersed in such stunning scenery. The variety of architecture, in particular, always fascinates us.

From centuries old, gothic cathedrals to brutalist structures from the 1950s to the colorful, modernist Central Market, and even a gorgeous Art Deco facade not far from the bullring, our phones are overflowing with photos of sublime buildings.

One of the most unique architectural gems of the city is the masterpiece by Santiago Calatrava, the City of Arts and Sciences. Often a turnaround point during our long walks in Turia Park, the buildings look like something out of a science fiction movie - a futuristic dreamscape where science, nature, and creativity collide - and make you feel tiny in the best possible way. What a gift to see these structures daily and to be surrounded by such beauty.

We feel extremely grateful to experience life in this glorious city. Thanks for being part of our excellent adventures. Sending y'all big hugs and love from Spain. 🚶😲 🏛️ 🕍 ⛪🌟 📸 🇪🇸
