October and November in Spain

Better late than never, yes? 🙃

Over the past couple of months, we've spent time revelling in warm (and windy!) days at the beach, savoring our new favorite pizza @raices_valencia, marveling at a Big Head parade, hanging out with sweet friends, stumbling across architectural wonders around almost every corner, celebrating the 9th de Octubre (the date in 1238 when King James I entered Valencia, freeing it from Moorish rule, AND Valencia's version of Valentine's day) by toasting marzipan fruits with our intercambio/language exchange group, saying "hasta luego" to our first apartment in Spain and "hola" to our second, practicing our still-developing dance moves, chatting with parrots at Jardines de Real, immersing ourselves in art exhibitions, remembering the lives lost throughout Valencia during last year's DANA flooding, feeling inspired by vibrant street art, sampling delectable treats, and peeping the first signs of the approaching holidays.

We feel grateful, hopeful, joyful, and loved. Thanks for coming along on our adventures, y'all! 🥐🍕🏰🎨💃🙏👋
